The comedian will reportedly be able to do his community service hours with
the New York City Fire Department. His father worked with the NYFD before he
was killed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack, the outlet noted.
Davidsons dad, Scott, was 33 when he died, Entertainment Tonight noted.
The actor was charged with one count of misdemeanor reckless driving last
month after he crashed his car into a home in Beverly Hills.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorneys Office said
that if the comedian complies with these certain conditions, there will be no
criminal offense on his record, Page Six noted.
We believe that Mr. Davidson engaged in reckless driving, which ultimately
resulted in his involvement in a serious collision into a home, a
spokesperson for the DAs office previously told the outlet.
Luckily, no one was seriously injured as a result of this collision, the
spokesperson added. We know that reckless driving can have devastating
consequences.
At the time, outlets reported the comedian was driving at a high rate of
speed and lost control of his vehicle that jumped a curb and crashed into
the front lawn of the residence before slamming into the house. Davidson was
in the car with girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders.
Following the crash, the couple issued an apology to the homeowners, who did
not file a lawsuit against them, the outlet noted.
Authorities determined that Davidson was not under the influence of alcohol
or drugs at the time of the crash, TMZ noted.
